A Texarkana non-profit, Just, Love and Kindness, joined forces with student councils from nine school districts to support the homeless community this winter.
On Thursday, students gathered at Arkansas High School to pack over 200 hygiene bags filled with blankets, scarves, hats, socks, and personal care items. These bags were hand-delivered to the Randy Sams’ Outreach Center, Salvation Army, and Mission Texarkana.
Tomorrow, the non-profit plans to distribute 940 winter coats to students in 10 school districts. They’ve also awarded five $1,000 scholarships to students pursuing careers in technology.
