Work has begun on significant upgrades at Spring Lake Park and Wallace Park in Texarkana, Texas.
Ross Cowling from the Texarkana Texas Parks & Recreation Department reports that the project is on schedule. The upgrades include renovating six baseball fields at Spring Lake Park and constructing a full-size soccer field at Wallace Park.
“These improvements are essential for our complex and will benefit the community and region by hosting local and travel tournaments,” Cowling said.
The project, costing just over $12 million, is expected to be completed by March 2025, just in time for the upcoming baseball season.
