On Tuesday afternoon, Texarkana Police arrested 38-year-old Fredrick Duckett following a four-vehicle crash he caused on W. 7th Street at Jarvis Parkway. Sgt. Jake Klar, who was on the scene, was informed that Duckett had fled on foot down South Bishop Road. Klar quickly caught up with Duckett near Terry Street and took him into custody without any issues.
Despite running over a quarter mile, Duckett claimed he couldn’t move his legs or body. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation and later transported to the Bi-State Jail after being cleared by doctors.
Due to injuries sustained by another driver, Duckett now faces felony charges for leaving the scene of an accident involving personal injury. His bond is set at $15,000, and he remains in custody.
