The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is investigating a shooting after a man arrived at a hospital Sunday with a gunshot wound to the head.
Officers responded to multiple 911 calls about gunfire near Vernal and Bramble Streets. At the scene, they found spent shell casings and learned the injured man was possibly involved.
Police believe suspects fired into a residence on Vernal Street. During the exchange, the injured man was reportedly struck by another suspect in the group. The suspect vehicle fled, taking him to the hospital.
Authorities arrested 21-year-old Timothy Demery, the suspected driver, on charges including 66 counts of terroristic acts, tampering with evidence, and discharging a firearm from a vehicle.
The victim remains in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing.
