On October 15, police responded to reports of Tanishia Marie Stamps, 36, allegedly seen with a firearm on her balcony at her 15th Street apartment. Officers reportedly found the apartment door open, multiple small fires set, and the oven left on, raising concerns for residents’ safety.

During her arrest, officers allegedly found a narcotics pipe in Stamps’ pocket and discovered a bar of soap and body cream containing drugs stashed in her bra. Lab tests reportedly confirmed fentanyl in the soap and methamphetamine in the body cream.

Stamps is charged with arson and two counts of drug possession and is held in Bowie County jail on $150,000 bond. She faces up to life in prison if convicted on all charges.
