- E. 9th St. and Pinehurst St. Traffic Signal:
The city has decided to cancel the traffic signal study at E. 9th and Pinehurst due to public feedback. The signal will remain in place, but upgrades to the controller and software are planned to improve efficiency. No timeline is available yet due to budget constraints. - E. 12th St. Speeding and Stop Sign Enforcement:
Speeding concerns on E. 12th St. between N. Stateline and Jefferson Ave., along with stop sign violations at Hickory St., have led to changes. The E. 12th and Hickory intersection will become a four-way stop, with flashing lights added for visibility. - Jefferson Ave. and E. 18th St. Traffic Backup:
Traffic congestion at Jefferson and E. 18th is being caused by a faulty vehicle detection system. Crews are working to resolve the issue, and drivers are asked for patience. - E. 3rd St. and Ash St. Four-Way Stop:
A new four-way stop will be installed at E. 3rd and Ash St., near Buhrmann Pharr Apartments, due to frequent pedestrian crossings and speeding concerns. Drivers should stay alert for the new signs.
