A car accident on Arkansas highway 196 in Texarkana left two people dead and one injured, according to a preliminary report from Arkansas State Police.
Timothy Fory, 32, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet westbound when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned several times. Fory and a passenger, Jessie Witt, 18, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Another passenger, Ritchie Alvarado, 28, sustained injuries and was transported to Christus St. Michael Medical Center for treatment.
The weather was clear, and the road was dry at the time of the crash. Trooper Micah Miller is leading the investigation for the Arkansas State Police.
