Two women were arrested Saturday after stealing clothing worth $257 from Dillard’s at Central Mall. Officer Tabitha Smith reviewed surveillance footage and shared descriptions of the suspects and their vehicle with other officers. About three hours later, Officer Aaron Wafford spotted the vehicle on Richmond Road and stopped it. Officer Smith confirmed the women matched the suspects from the video.
An Aldis bag in the car contained clothing with tags still attached, later identified as stolen from Dillard’s and two other stores. Kylie Pettit, 27, and Mikaela Phillips, 23, were arrested for Theft of Property and booked into Bi-State Jail, each with a $3,000 bond.
